Justin Talbot

About

Justin Talbot is a research scientist at Tableau Software. He earned his doctorate in Computer Science from Stanford University. His research focuses on foundational areas of information visualization and data analytics, including graphical perception, algorithms for automating the graphical design of visualizations, and the design of compilers and runtimes for data analytics and visualization. At Tableau, Justin closely collaborates with the development teams responsible for the VizQL query language, the calculation language, and for the statistics features.
