Nicole Sultanum

About

Nicole Sultanum is a senior research staff member at Tableau Research. Her research spans text visualization, visual sensemaking, and human-data interaction, areas that have been applied to a range of domain-specific fields from medicine and engineering to journalism and arts.

Nicole holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and a Masters in Computer Science from the University of Calgary. Prior to joining Tableau, she worked as a research software engineer at IBM Research, as well as a research intern at Microsoft Research, Adobe Research, and Autodesk Research.
